Wolff Vineyards, nestled on 125 acres of certified sustainable land near San Luis Obispo, embodies four decades of grape growing and two decades of winemaking. Established in 1976, our vineyard now boasts 53 acres of Chardonnay, 34 acres of Pinot Noir, and 14 acres dedicated to unique varieties like Teroldego and Riesling.
Guided by a philosophy of minimal intervention, we let the cool coastal climate shape our wines. Family-owned, with each member contributing their passion, Wolff Vineyards is a blend of tradition and innovation. Our commitment to sustainability is evident in our SIP Certification, and we've garnered recognition for environmental stewardship, from water conservation to biodiversity efforts.
Beyond winemaking, we actively participate in research projects, exploring technologies like precision drip irrigation and multi-sensor weather stations. We had an amazing time wine tasting here! Our favorites were the Syrah and petite Syrah. $20 tasting fee but waived if you get 2 bottles. The ambiance is beautiful and you can walk around the property.
Have been a member of Wolff for many years and visit whenever I'm in town - the beautiful view and delicious wine are worth the visit (LOVE their Chardonnay!) Was a bit windy so we hung out with Sharyl in the tasting room and had the most enjoyable time. It was such a great tasting experience - delicious wine coupled with her bubbly narratives and extensive wine knowledge. The vineyard is also a great spot to bring a picnic, buy a bottle (or two) and hang out.
A fun local family run vineyard with winery. Great people and very good wines at reasonable prices. Wolff has been having Friday night music and food trucks in for sunset.. this was just as we were leaving on Friday the 13 (July 2018) Nice crowd and a great, reasonable night out.. The regular Friday music is now done for the season, (as of October) but still a nice place for a variety of wine, and they now have some snacks available, which I have not yet had a chance to try.
Felt welcome from getting out of the car. It was early and the staff was still getting situated. Asked through email about scheduling a tasting. Scheduling and confirming was easy. The tasting was both informative and entertaining. All of the wines were good. We were able to walk the grounds a little and learn about the history of the winery and relationship with the local area. Wine is good, it's better when you can relate it to the land. Parking is plentiful, recommend reservations and have a nice time.
