Waylan's handcrafted wines embody a rich legacy. Sourced from one of Santa Barbara County's oldest Chenin Blanc vineyards, planted in 1983, this wine predates even the brothers themselves. Their journey with this storied vineyard began in 2016 when they ventured into white wine production. Starting with just a partial row, their commitment has expanded to almost two full rows as Chenin Blanc's popularity surged. Amidst fierce competition for this prized fruit, the brothers feel fortunate to work with the quantity they have.
When asked about their preferred home wine, the unanimous response from Brad, Greg, and Zach is Chenin. It's a testament to their deep connection with this varietal, reflecting not only the wine's popularity but also the personal satisfaction derived from their craft.

Can’t imagine a worse experience. Employee claiming to be a relative of the owner… “I don’t care if you like our wines or not” Almost knocked him out belt decided to leave and pick up wine from about 5 other tasting rooms. AVOID.

This was one of the best stops on our weekend trip. Great whites and reds! Our steward, Corey, was so knowledgeable, friendly, and personable. Was a great experience and will look forward to going back
I just had the best experience with Waylan Wine Company...and I haven't even tried the wine yet.We have a neighbor who just lost her dog. His name was Waylan so we wanted to do something nice for her. We purchased a bottle of Waylan Rose online and within a few minutes I received a call from one of the co-owners, Brad. He wanted to let me know about how the wine would be shipped, how it's packed in ice, etc. I just received the wine and we will give it to our neighbor this evening. I just wanted to let everyone know that Waylan Wine Co. takes great pride in their wine and it was a joy doing business with them!
Great winery with a cool ambiance and great owners who really tell the story of each of their wines as they go through their tasting. This type of service was not found in all the wineries we visited so they stood out. It was our favorite place we went to during our time in Los Olivos! I highly recommend. Their wine is fantastic 🙂
Waylan is the best new spot in Los Olivos! The stylish interior is super chic and the owners are likely to be behind the counter pouring your tasting.
