Timshel wines are a true labor of love, crafted in an artisan-style with a steadfast commitment to sustainable and organic practices. Their mission? To spread the joy and harmony that wine brings to our daily lives. The name "Timshel" holds ancient significance, embodying a spirit of hope, renewal, and resilience that resonates deeply with this family. Founders Craig and Becca, with over four decades of agricultural expertise, took the plunge in 2005 by planting their first 300 vines. Their process began with a deep dive into the wines of California, Oregon, Spain, Portugal, France, and Italy.

From a hobby shared with close-knit circles, the winery has blossomed thanks to family dedication. Two family members are deeply immersed in the winemaking world, while two others lend their expertise to running Timshel Vineyards. Presently, all their wines hail from the Paso Robles region, but keep an eye out for the exciting Pinot Noir offerings from their GRIT label in Oregon, slated for release soon.

Meet the maestro behind Timshel’s outstanding wines, Nate Thompson. With a decade of experience in the wine industry, Nate has worn many hats - from tending the vines to crafting the final product. He's honed his skills alongside some of California's finest winemakers and growers, including J. Lohr, Wildhorse, Buena Vista, and Vina Robles. Nate's secret sauce? A strong belief that the foundation of award-winning wines lies in impeccable grape-growing practices. Organic and sustainable farming isn't just a job for Nate; it's a passion and a promise to deliver wines that are handcrafted from vine to barrel to bottle. He's on a mission to unveil the unique character and quality that each terroir holds. And guess what? The next generation is already in on the action.
