Storm Wines, founded by Ernst Storm, presents a unique winemaking odyssey spanning South Africa and California. Ernst, a product of Elsenburg Agricultural School in Stellenbosch, honed his skills in diverse regions, from Sierra Foothills to Santa Barbara County. Inspired by a desire for balance, Storm Wines emerged in 2006, emphasizing classic styles and site-driven expressions.
Ernst's tenure at Firestone Winery fueled experimentation, particularly with Sauvignon Blanc. In 2013, he redirected his focus to Storm Wines, amplifying dedication to crafting wines that embody the essence of each vintage and site. While Ernst champions elegance in winemaking, his brother, Hannes, embarked on Storm Wines-South Africa, spotlighting Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Hemel-en-Aarde Valley.
Storm Wines seamlessly weaves Old World inspiration with New World terroir, delivering a distinctive range that reflects Ernst's global winemaking journey.

Some of the best wine I’ve had and I’m in Connecticut. I have had from all over the world. The owner was very nice and gave us a free tasting.
There were 4 of us in to taste Storm Wines and to enjoy Pony Espressosyv tacos. This was a tasty, delightful experience for all of us. Storm's summer wines were perfect...three unique Sauviongon Blancs and the Rose. All of them went well with the three types of tacos: Tri-Tip, Veggie, and super good Octopus. The tacos were so flavorful...just simply outstanding!!!Looking forward to another Storm tasting for us locals. 💜❤💜❤

Quiet, boutique tasting room that focuses on a few grapes and does them very well. The winemaker’s wife was manning the tasting room and she was lovely company (in addition to obviously being very knowledgeable about their wines). Will definitely go back.
Delicious wines and lovely staff. Enjoyed the “main” tasting and wish I had the constitution to take on the Pinot noir specific one too.
Stopped in for a tasting and experienced fantastic people and great wines! We enjoyed ourselves so much that left with a few bottles of our own!
