We had an incredibly unique experience today at Soaring Hawk. Owners spent quality time with us and the wine was EXCEPTIONAL. It is off the beaten path, but if you are lucky enough to get a reservation, take it; you will not be disappointed. Owners are kind and passionate about their craft and it will be a hard sell to leave and head to the next venue. It has been a long time since I was able to spend time with owners and feel truly welcomed in their space. Thank you Joe and Jill for an amazing afternoon. We will be back.

Incredible wines in a beautiful location. This winery is off the beaten path from the hundreds of other wineries in the region, but the experience is so worth it. This place has a magic about it, brought out be the owners and winemakers. The reds are crafted with a precise palate. The Zin is bold (as it should be). The whites are amazing too. I'm not a sweet wine fan and vignoles is one I often glance over. However Joey was able to bring out the brightness of his steel aged vignoles without making your sweet cheeks pucker. The oak aged vignoles is even better...making a slightly lighter, but very nice alternative to an oaked chardonnay (vanilla notes, balanced fruit, but not too heavy on the butter...just how I like it!).This winery is a MUST to any visitors (or locals) in the area. However, be warned, if you try this place first, many others to follow will pale in comparison!

OK. Let me start by saying that I've been enjoying boutique wines for 47 years (there are wineries who would have been in trouble for serving me, in the day ....). AND as a rule, I dislike "blends" mostly because I was taught to articulate a wine, which is difficult to do when you are dealing with three or four different grapes. THAT BEING SAID, I was really blown away by REDHAWK by SOARING HAWK. Remarkably balanced with a nose that you could spend an evening enjoying without ever drinking the wine. YET a nice, round body that ends with a slight tingle on the tongue from a hint of tannins (obviously, if you're not wild about a little tannin, rack this wine for a year or two...). AND, if you live on the Central Coast, it's a really beautiful drive out to the winery. Well worth exploring this winery.

Great setting. Great people. It's a throwback to when wine tasting was about the people and the art winemakers create.
