Despite lacking formal training, Mike's tenacity led him to become one of the Central Coast's most acclaimed winemakers.
In 2013, Mike and Cheri LaVallee, his wife, took a leap of faith to acquire the Bassi Vineyard. This ocean-view estate became the culmination of their journey, embodying their commitment to meticulous and holistic viticulture. The wines of Sinor-LaVallee are a testament to this profound connection with the land. Bassi Vineyard, a cornerstone of the San Luis Obispo Coast AVA, stands as a testament to Mike's influence in founding the AVA.
