Loring Wine Company, founded by Pinot Noir enthusiast Brian Loring, was born from his passion for exceptional California Pinot Noir. Brian's interest began in a Hollywood wine shop, exploring renowned Burgundy producers. After stumbling upon Calera, he was inspired to create his own California Pinot Noir. The pivotal moment came during the '97 crush at Cottonwood Canyon, where he learned winemaking intricacies from Norm Beko. This marked the birth of Loring Wine Company. Brian's winemaking philosophy centers on vineyard quality, trusting growers who share his Pinot Freak dedication. Fruit-focused, he emphasizes minimal intervention, allowing the vineyard's essence to shine. Loring Wine Company represents a personal homage to Josh Jensen and the transformative power of exceptional grapes.

Showed up at 3:46pm, when the last tasting was at 3:45 (according to the billboard out front, not indicated on their website or Google). Okay, fair enough. However not allowing a one minute grace period is quite unreasonable. Obviously the two employees have no stake in the business.
This place was awesome! It was my first time wine tasting and the lady there was very patient and informative. She made my experience very memorable.
Stephen is a great host with vast knowledge and experience in the wine industry. Informative kind responsive and quick to pour the next tasting in a casual fun environment makes a good day great! We took a bottle for dinner and my friends a case.
Love the homey feel of this place. The staff is always friendly and very helpful with any question you ask. Also pays to be a member! Will always come by when I'm in town.
