It's difficult to say what is better at Jalopy, the wine or Luke, the owner. To be honest they're both amazing. We stopped by on a whim over 6 years ago and now are members of the wine club (so many great wines!) and we drive 2 hours to visit with Luke and taste the new additions when we get a chance. Do yourself a favor and visit this place when you can...you'll keep coming back!
This place is great and the wine is even better! Go here! We chatted with the owner and chilled and just had a nice relaxing experience. Highly recommend.
Stopped in after first arriving in Los Olivos in our own jalopy of a van and honestly the name of this place was what caught our attention. Well...We started our wine tasting weekend off right! Great wine and Luke was a wonderful host. Definitely stop in!
We were visiting Los Olivos from Ohio on a roadtrip and checking out the wine scene. We have done many wine tastings and this one was the best overall experience we could imagine. Luke was a delightful person to talk to and his wine is wonderful. He explained each wine carefully and we learned different tasting notes and pairings from him. Luke was also just fun to talk to. It's great to meet a talented wine maker who is also a pleasure to be around. Thanks for a great end to our day in Los Olivios!
Luke was great. We loved the wine choices and the super relaxed environment. The intimate setting was also a huge plus, annnnd there’s a restroom! Others tasting rooms we visited did not offer a restroom. Huge bummer!Overall, this tasting room and Luke’s wine fast became one of my favorites. I will definitely return. ✌🏻 ❤️
Luke was awesome (don't know what Georgina's issue was). If you want the clinical, corporate pitch on wines...go to the big places. If you want an intimate, personal experience with good wine, go see Luke.
