Megan and Spencer, hailing from creative backgrounds, took the reins of High Camp with a vision to infuse the brand with their welcoming, nature-loving essence. With roots in generations of farming, they inject fresh vitality into the landscape. High Camp, nestled in San Miguel's hills, boasts a rich tapestry of soil types and sun exposure, providing an ideal canvas for ten diverse grape varietals across its 75-acre vineyard.
In September 2020, the family who was deeply entrenched in California's farming legacy purchased the property, setting their sights on elevating its rustic charm and wines to prominence among artisan wineries. Today, Megan and Spencer steward the estate, infusing it with their modern and artistic flair. Their pride in creating a space for cherished gatherings radiates in every conversation. High Camp Wines celebrate tradition, employing old-world techniques that honor each grape's distinct character. High Camp Wines invites both novices and enthusiasts to taste the San Miguel terroir, a winemaking heritage dating back to the 1800s. My wife and I visited the winery and had a wonderful experience. The tasting room is very cozy and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.The wines and the food board were great. Erin made everything perfect. She was very personable and knew the wines.
Reds are on par with far more expensive Napa Valley wines. Can’t rec this place enough! Erin is also an awesome host! Check it out you won’t be disappointed.
Had a great time at High Camp. We took a tour of the vineyard and it was a great experience. Our tour guide Erin was amazing. Her knowledge of the vineyard, surroundings, and wines was awesome! Can't wait for the next visit.
Last month, We showed up on a Sunday, after making a reservation online. Well turns out they are closed on Sundays and there was some glitch that let us make a reservation. There was a woman that said a private party was happening soon but welcomed us in for a tasting. I thought that was very impressive to allow us to come in even though they were closed. The wine was my favorite I had all weekend in Paso. Took two bottles home in my suitcase! The decor and vibe is just fabulous and excellent service. A great way to start our weekend in Paso! Don’t skip!
Had a fantastic visit to this winery a few weeks ago and immediately joined the wine club. The wines, the setting and the service are all amazing and the price point is perfect. Can't miss in the Paso region.
You We had an amazing time meeting Megan and Spencer the co-wine makers and owners of High Camp Wines. The energy they both bring is contagious. We did the tour with Megan and it was worth every penny. After 2 days of tasting wines in the San Miguel area, High Camp was at the top of my list.Please visit, you won’t be disappointed.
I prefer finding small, family owned wineries/tasting rooms and this one is excellent! They had a wide variety of wines on their tasting menu, delicious almonds to munch on and great ambiance. I will definitely be coming back and recommending it to any friends & family who are visiting the area.
