Etnyre Wines, rooted in cherished memories of shared moments over wine in the Chicago suburbs, found its true calling on California's Central Coast. In 1992, after relocating to this viticulturally rich region, the founders swiftly embraced winemaking, fermenting grapes just twelve days after their arrival. This ignited a passion that led to years of dedicated home winemaking and formal education in viticulture and enology at UC Davis. In 2005, they proudly released their first vintage, marking the inception of Etnyre Wines as a micro-winery with an unwavering focus on their 2-acre estate vineyard.

Quin's Vineyard, a tribute to their son, lies in the heart of Arroyo Grande, a mere 3.5 miles from the Pacific Ocean. This proximity profoundly influences their viticultural practices, granting them the unique advantage of maritime climate moderation. Positioned southeast-facing in a valley with an east-to-west orientation, the vineyard benefits from cool evening fogs and gentle morning sun, ensuring a prolonged growing season that imparts complexity to their wines. The founders meticulously planted the vineyard in 1998, working alongside John Alban of Alban Wines to select the finest Syrah and Pinot Noir clones. Their discerning approach, combined with strategic rootstock choices, paved the way for Quin's Vineyard to consistently yield wines with exceptional structure, remarkable fruit purity, and enduring finishes. Since then, their dedication to this special terroir has only deepened, resulting in a portfolio that beautifully showcases the enduring quality of Quin's Vineyard.
