Barbieri Wine Company, a boutique winemaker in Santa Barbara County, proudly presents world-class wines through two esteemed labels— Paolo Barbieri and Erin Kempe. Paolo, a Master Sommelier with over 30 years of experience, and Erin, a culinary expert, craft wines that embody their heritage. Paolo's experimentation started in Las Vegas in 2003, evolving into a full-scale winery in Buellton by 2014. Erin, inspired by her culinary background, joined the venture in 2007, creating the KEMPE label focusing on Bordeaux varietals. In 2014, they took a leap of faith, going all-in on winemaking, solidifying their presence in the heart of California's wine scene. Today, Barbieri & Kempe wines offer a variety of options, including unique white and rosé varietals and blends, reflecting the culmination of Paolo and Erin's winemaking endeavor.

Magnificent wines. We sampled a few bottles at a recent wine dinner and they were right up there with a few of the much expensive and classic offerings. Everyone was impressed.
Really enjoyed our visits to both tasting rooms (Santa Barbara and Los Olivos) and exploring all the Barbieri and Kempe wines through the wine club. They have a lovely selection of cheeses and other snacks to accompany your tastings. Highly recommend!
Lovely wines and even lovelier people. This is the one tasting room we never miss in Los Olivos, and we always have a few of their bottles on hand for special occasions - and occasions we want to make special.
We visited here a few weeks ago. Read their website and they had interesting wines. Got there when it opened and boy was it great. The service, the flights and the wine info was amazing. I joined the club. Barbieri wines is definitely a stop when visiting Los Olivos
We love coming here! The first time, we were blown away by the Kempe rosé blends, and the Barbieri blends are consistently wonderful! Paolo and Erin make this a very friendly place to hang out. The bonus for me is the cheeses they have available! You can have a picnic in the back yard. It's our #1 go-to place in Los Olivos!
Can’t say enough about Barbieri &Kempe! My husband and I usually share tastings (I do all Kempe & he does all Barbieri) and love it all!!! We get the best of both worlds. Delicious flavors and covers all pallets. Love visiting both locations and always get great talk time with the wine maker himself.
I've been a member of Barbieri's wine club for over 8 years and recommend their wines and their tasting room in Los Olivos. I prefer to go there on weekdays, when it's quiet, so I can spend time with one or both of the owners talking and learning about their big and bold wines.They also have a nice back patio area which I enjoyed on a day where it would have been too windy elsewhere.Penny, their dog, will usually come around for a pet and then will go off to lie in the sun.A lot of tasting rooms in Los Olivos aren't designed for you to spend much time there. Fortunately, this is not one of those and while they have made changes over the years, it has always remained a great wine tasting room.
We got to visit Barbieri & Kempe Wines as part of a wine tasting tour that I planned for my boyfriends birthday and it was an amazing experience. The wines were amazing and our host Paolo was great! He had set up a great charcuterie board and was so knowledgeable and the stories were great. It was truly a great experience and we loved the wine so much that we bought some to bring back home and signed up for the wine club. I love getting my shipments and my family members get so excited when I bring these wines to family dinners. I highly recommend having a wine tasting with them!
Had a great tasting here. It’s amazing and I’d highly recommend the patio in the back where you can sit and relax. The canine companion is free :)One of the only spots where you can have cheese handpicked for you.
