B & E Vineyard

B&E Winery, a cherished family enterprise, embraces California's cowboy legacy. Established by Doc Elliott (the "E" in B&E) in 1952, it thrived in quarter horse racing, birthing world champions. Later, with the "B" (Bello), they diversified into alfalfa and oat hay production, and bred Registered Quarter Horses and Cattle.Foresighted in water conservation, they ventured into vineyards in 1989, now a flourishing family winery. Starting with 25 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, they later added Merlot and other reds for blending. Grafting on varied rootstocks became common practice, supplying grapes to other wineries since the early '90s.In 1994, they began crafting their own wines, releasing them for sale in 2002. They started with small batches, now steadily growing. Their reds mature for 20 months in French Oak before bottling. Currently, they produce 2,500 cases annually, with plans to reach 5,000. Visitors are welcomed to witness vineyard care, wine crafting, and tasting room conviviality.
